Community Tree Planting event
Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) and the City of Cornwall is inviting you, your family and friends to be a part of two natural infrastructure restoration projects:
- Riparian Restoration at Pitt & Tollgate (funded by the Ontario government)
- Ash tree replacement at Snetsinger Park (funded by Earth Day Canada) – other native species will be planted to replace the ash trees
If interested in participating, please arrive at Snetsinger Park for 3pm to register with RRCA and for a tree planting demo. From there we will walk along the bike path to Pitt & Tollgate (approx. 10 minute walk). Feel free to bring your bike! After planting approximately 300 trees and shrubs at Pitt & Tollgate (holes will already be dug), we will make our way back to Snetsinger to plant the remaining 50 trees.
Please bring a refillable water bottle (large water jugs will be on site), gloves, long pants, and sturdy closed-toed shoes. A hat and sunscreen are recommended.
We will be planting rain or shine, so please be prepared for the weather.

Feel free to forward the invite to your colleagues! Thank you 😊
