The Raising Region Conservation Authority announced this week it is once again offering discounted tree seedling to encourage landowners to plant them. The bulk purchase by the RRCA allows it to pass along savings to landowners for 27 species of trees and shrubbery that are native to this area of the continent, at costs from under $1 to $1.75 each. RRCA can also help landowners access furthter tree-planting subsidies if they plan on seeding more than one hectare (2.5 acres) land back into forest. The seedlings come in bunches of 10 and must be ordered by March 31. They can be ordered through the website at  http://www.rrca.on.ca or calling Josianne Sabourin at  613-938-3611 ext. 221
