Wednesday, September 9th at 7 p.m. Schnitzel’s Restaurant  The River Institute’s Science and Nature on Tap kicks off another season. Science and Nature on Tap Dishes Up the Dirt on Urban Farming – Eric Bergeron and Eric Amyot are the creative agricultural team behind a unique enterprise that is growing greens for Cornwall’s downtown. Capable of producing over 1,000 plants for harvest each week, Smart Greens is on a social mission to prove that a business can be both profitable and socially responsible.
Saturday, September 12th noon – 4 p.m. Ontario Power Generation Visitor Centre Learn all about birds in our backyard. The OPG is ideally located for viewing both land birds and waterfowl. Binoculars and scopes will be available to share. For more info: 613-9324563, ext. 3520
