New ‘Tesla’ Charging Station Opens in Cornwall A new charging station that will allow owners of an electric car to travel hundreds of kilometres on little to no fossil fuel opened in Cornwall recently. Wednesday, October 1, 7:00 Schnitzels Restaurant Transition Cornwall+ has teamed up with the St Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences to bring you this Science and Nature talk TACKLES CLIMATE CHANGE. The guest speaker for the evening is Gary Nielsen, Climate Change Coordinator, from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) offices in Peterborough. Gary graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Forestry. He subsequently spent several years traveling around the globe in his work as a forester. He eventually settled in eastern Ontario taking on roles as a Management Forester, Stewardship Coordinator, and Supervisor with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.
