During Canadian Environment Week, June 1 to 7, the City of Cornwall
and Transition Cornwall + are encouraging residents to leave their cars
at home and take advantage of alternate modes of transportation as
part of the Commuter Challenge!

A national initiative, the Commuter Challenge rewards participants for using active and alternate modes of transportation for work or leisure purposes. These include:

  • Walking
  • Cycling
  • Rollerblading
  • Public transit
  • Carpooling
  • Telecommuting

To participate in the Commuter Challenge, register your business/workplace or yourself online and select ‘Cornwall’ as your participating city. A number of great prizes for participants will be announced in the coming weeks – you won’t want to miss this!

For more information on how to register, check out the City of Cornwall Commuter Challenge webpage or contact Chantal Lalonde at chalalonde [at] eohu [dot] ca.
