Monday, April 28, 7:00 p.m. Cornwall Energy East Our Risk Their Reward  at The Social, Conference & Event Centre, 130 Sydney Street. The Council of Canadians, with local partners, will be visiting communities across Ontario to talk about why Trans Canada’s proposed Energy East pipeling is all risk and little reward for Ontarians. Hear about local impacts, safety and spill concerns and what this meas for tar sands expansion, protecting our climate and water. Find out how you can get involved in the movement to stop Energy East. FREE ADMISSION! FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!

Sunday, April 13, 1pm Film Food Series at the Cornwall Public Library. Transtion Cornwall + presents “GROW’, the final documentary in the winter Food Film Series.
This event will be of special interest to young entrepreneurs as well as the public. The event includes a warming cup of soup, the screening, and discussion. This event is offered by the Food Action Group of Transition Cornwall+. Admission is free and open to everyone (donations welcome).

SATURDAY, APRIL 12th, 2014 Annual Bicycle Auction Cornwall Armouries 505 Fourth Street East. The Cornwall Police will be holding their annual auction of surplus equipment. There will be more than 50 bicycles awaiting bidders. Active Transportation folks, here is your opportunity to ‘get your own wheels’. Viewing will be possible at noon before the bidding at 1:00 p.m. (Other items up for grabs include electronics, jewelry and tools.)
