Saturday, April 20, Greening Akwesasne The St. Regis Mohawk Senior Center on Akwesasne was the place to be on Saturday morning if you were in need of vegetable seeds for the up-coming garden season. Residents were lined up at the door an hour before opening time, and no one left disappointed. The seed give away was one of the Earth Day happenings taking place. Transition Cornwall + was invited and Karen Carriere gave an informative talk on Transition Towns. The information was well received by the attentive audience. Akwesasne was welcomed and encouraged to to become part of the + in Transition Cornwall +.
